Florida School Shooting

Dear Editor, Do guns kill? Not guns themselves! It is the individual(s) using the gun(s) that do the killing I am in full support of the Second Amendment to our Constitution; the right to bear arms. However, I am also in support of outlawing the guns like the ones used in the Florida school shooting and the recent Las Vegas shooting, et al. Perhaps the shooter at the school in Florida had a mental disorder. Be aware that all of us have the right to keep our health (both physical and mental) private, only releasing the information to the ones named on the appropriate release form and signed by the patient. What is needed? No guns should be sold to anyone under the age of 25. All guns must immediately be registered and the registration be put on a nationwide system to be accessed by any law enforcement agency including the FBI. If a gun is purchased by someone to give to an individual under the age of 25, that person will be not only the registered owner but responsible should that weapon be used by anyone else. Parents who own guns and are parents of a mentally disturbed individual should have these guns locked up and secure so that the parent(s) are the only ones that have access. This also should apply to all parents. If the gun of a parent is found by one of his/her offspring, the gun owner/parent is also responsible for its use and should suffer the same charges as the person who uses the gun. All gun merchants should be held accountable so that a gun purchased from their establishment not be sold to anyone under the age of 25 and be responsible for fingerprinting the buyer and registering the gun. This must be completed before the gun is released to the buyer. That’s my story and solution and I’m sticking to it.

Fake Nunes?

Dear Editor, I enjoy the Valley Chronicle, however a recent article by Bob Franken was another rant by a journalist who attempts to distance himself from CNN and yet goes on the same unbalanced reporting. He conspiratorially states his “Washington friends” never share sensitive information with him, “Until now.” Who are Mr. Franken’s Washington friends? Could be the likes of Rep. Adam Schiff. Based on reading his article it would seem so. Why do you ask? Well, let’s see: Did he refute the fact that it’s about a court order issued by the FISA court to the DOJ and FBI on Oct. 21, 2016, and subsequently renewed three times? No, he did not. Did he refute the fact that the FISA court order was based wholly or in part on a Dossier paid for by the DNC and Hillary campaign? No, he did not. Did he refute the fact that the Dossier was produced by Fusion GPS, who relied on Russian intelligence operatives to compile the Dossier? No, he did not. Did he refute the fact that upwards of eight senior FBI and DOJ officials have been fired, demoted or reassigned as a result of the probe into Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information as secretary of state, and the Trump-Russia collusion investigation? No, he did not. It seems to me that Mr. Franken’s allegations represent the Washington establishment bias. Wouldn’t it be better for all of us to let the Mueller investigation and the Senate and House investigations come to a conclusion rather than slander our president and/or dismiss apparent wrongdoing by the Obama-Hillary Administration?
