The Ultimate Stones on stage Saturday, May 12 for a tribute to the Rolling Stones.[/caption] ■ By Susan Carrier / Contributed The Ultimate Stones were in town on Saturday, May 12 for a tribute to the Rolling Stones that had the place jumpin’ with excitement. The event was the first concert of the new season of Tribute Mania at the Historic Hemet Theatre (HHT). Tickets for the 8-concert season have been strong, with over 25 percent of tickets already sold. On Saturday, fans filled the dance floor from the first notes of “Start Me Up” to the end of the encore, “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.” With every note, the band proved their reputation as one of the best tribute bands in the country. The vocals by Julz Harris, singing the part of Lisa-Mary, were stunning, earning thunderous applause from the crowd with every solo. Lead singer, Jim Becker, commented on why HHT is one of their favorite venues. “Like most bands, we don’t do this for the money, we just love to play. The audience in Hemet is so enthusiastic, it just makes this so much fun!” [caption id="attachment_10951" align="alignleft" width="300"] The Ultimate Stones proving their reputation as one of the best tribute bands in the country.[/caption] Next up on the Tribute Mania schedule is a tribute to Led Zeppelin featuring Led Zepagain on Saturday, May 26.
