Concerts Under the Stars at the Ramona Bowl Join the fun this summer by attending one or all in the live musical performance series at the Ramona Bowl, 27400 Ramona Bowl Road, Hemet; www.ramonabowl.com. Following is a list of upcoming events: June 28 - 8 p.m. - Stone Soul, the best of classic soul and motown. July 2 & 3 - 6 p.m. - Shrek The Musical. Students aged 5-18 are encouraged to sign up to participate. Sign-ups were May 12, but rehearsals don’t begin until June 11 at West Valley HS Theater, so you may be able to put your name on the waiting list. July 6 - 8 p.m. - Como La Flor, A Tribute to Selena July 12 - 8 p.m. - Branson on the Road, classic Branson showtime. July 19 - 8 p.m. - The Los Angeles cast of Beatlemania, a worldclass tribute to the Beatles. All tickets are: adults, $10 ahead of time, $15 at the door. Children 6-12 are $5 ahead and the same at the door. Children under 5 are free. Season tickets for $30 are available. Two Salvation Army summer camps for youth The Hemet Salvation Army is hosting its annual summer camps both in town and in the mountains beginning Friday, June 18. In town, children from 1st thru 8th grades can go on local field trips, engage in activities and complete projects, and have lunch and snacks with lots of fun at the Salvation Army Hemet Community Center, 340 S. Palm Ave., Hemet. The youth camp runs from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday - Thursday, June 18 - July 26. The cost is $35 per week ($160 value thanks to sponsors). In the mountains, children ages 5-17 can attend the Salvation Pine Summit Summer Camp near Big Bear during weekly sessions between June 18 – July 23. Rock climbing, nature walks, archery, swimming, and more are available. The cost is $380 per week per youth.
