Director Mary Ellen Van Ostenbridge says their next performance will be at the First Presbyterian Church, 515 E. Kimball Ave in Hemet on Dec. 2 at 3 p.m. Rehearsals for the fall season begin on August 27 at 9:30 a.m. Auditions to be considered for the group will be held at 9 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Hemet on Kimball Ave. Anyone interested in auditioning for their 2018-2019 season should contact the Harmoneers at: harmoneerschorale@gmail.com. The Harmoneers Chorale presents two major concerts a year: one in December and one in May, and also perform for groups in the San Jacinto Valley. In addition to their love of singing, they raise money for scholarships for high school students who desire to further their education in the field of music. As I left the Hemet Public Library I could not miss the Jacaranda tree bursting with purple life next to the ground floor courtyard, symbolic of the music the Harmoneers had just served up to a very appreciative audience.
