Stater Bros. Markets Opens New Location in Whittier
San Bernardino, California – Stater Bros. Markets is ex_x0002_cited to announce the open_x0002_ing of their newest location at 11810 Whittier Boulevard in the community of Whitti_x0002_er, California. The new Whit_x0002_tier location replaces a for_x0002_mer store previously located at 11750 Whittier Blvd. The new store will official_x0002_ly open for business at 6:00 am on Wednesday, Novem_x0002_ber 3rd and will operate dai_x0002_ly from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm thereafter. The store will be led by Store Manager Melissa Brockelmeyer whose service with the company spans over 22 years.
At 44,378 sq. ft., the new supermarket will feature full-service meat, seafood, service deli and bakery de_x0002_partments; an extensive se_x0002_lection of fresh, organic, and healthy offerings including fresh fruit cut in-store and handcrafted sushi made in_x0002_house daily; spacious aisles; and a décor scheme reflec_x0002_tive of the local communi_x0002_ty. For the convenience of our customers, the store will have eleven (11) checkout registers with several offer_x0002_ing self checkout. In addi_x0002_tion, the store will implement eco-friendly practices such as the use of energy-efficient equipment and energy-sav_x0002_ing LED lighting. The new store will bring ap_x0002_proximately 150 jobs to the area and will be the second location to serve the City of Whittier.
“We have been a part of the Whittier community since 1953 and we are thrilled to be able to continue to serve the community in this brand_x0002_new location,” said Stater Bros. CEO Pete Van Helden. “The community will be pleased with a wide variety of product offerings and con_x0002_venient meal solutions that will make for an exceptional shopping experience,” Van Helden concluded.
In celebration of the store opening, and in Stater Bros.’ tradition of giving back to the communities it serves, Stater Bros. Charities will present donations totaling $15,000 to Whittier Meal on Wheels, Boys & Girls Club of Whittier, Skills Organiza_x0002_tion, The Whole Child, Dis_x0002_abled American Veterans #46 Whittier, and Ozzy Founda_x0002_tion.
